The area's best 5K just got better! This year we are adding two exciting events: The Guitar Hero Challenge and The Nations #1 Kiss Tribute Band, KIST. The day begins with the full throttle shredding explosion of the Guitar Hero Challenge. Followed by the Rock n Roll 5K! Pre-race ceremonies will include sky divers and a Rockin' rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. After the dust settles from the post race awards presentation and the sun descends the western sky, KIST TAKES THE STAGE! The nations #1 Kiss tribute band will light up the night with a rock show unlike any you've ever seen! Everyone who enters the Rock n Roll 5k will be admitted to the show. This race is the second event in the Wayne County Challenge racing series.

The Course
Here it is! The fastest 5K course ever. You'll race on the runway system of the Richmond Municipal Airport. That's right, it doesn't get any flatter or faster than this. Come try for your personal best. Our "Grand" Start/Finish line adds pagentry not seen in most 5K events.
Awards
We pride ourselves on delivering the most unique awards you'll ever receive at a 5k race. I mean, do you really need another plastic trophy? Male and Female overall winners will receive custom guitars in the spirit of the Rock n Roll 5K. Age group winners will receive "one off" awards designed especially for this event. Trust me, They Rock!
